CHURCH HEALTH ASSESSMENT TRAINING
The Foundation for Effective Coach Consulting
May 8-10, 2007

It has been said that no responsible geneticist would attempt genetic engineering without first fully knowing the gene’s current DNA. No responsible church consultant would dare make recommendations for transformational change without first fully understanding the healthy and unhealthy aspects of the church’s current DNA. Accurate assessment is the foundation for effective church consulting that helps churches focus outward and build their health and impact.

Dr. Bill Hoyt will lead Step One of Church Health Assessment Training May 8-10, 2007, at Green Lake Conference Center in Green Lake, Wisc. Training includes:

Introduction to an effective assessment process
Training in how to use the process
- administering the self-study
- conducting focus groups and interviews
- utilizing congregational surveys
- report preparation and presentation

Access to the accumulated knowledge of experienced assessors

The cost for Step One of the training is $420 per person single occupancy or $340 per person double occupancy. This fee includes training, two nights’ hotel lodging and all meals.

Step Two of the training involves shadowing Bill in two live church health assessments. There are no fees for the shadowing and the accompanying training. Your cost will be limited to your actual expenses incurred for travel, lodging and food. Having demonstrated competency, Bill will “certify” you as a church health assessor. This certification allows you to participate in a consortium of church assessors sanctioned and supervised by NexStep Consulting and Green Lake Conference Center. NexStep and Green Lake will market assessments and assign consortium assessors as appropriate.
